AtomiComedy Standup Night
Next date: Saturday, August 23, 2025 | 07:30 PM
to 09:30 PM
AtomiComedy is returning to Los Alamos, sponsored by LALT and performing at the Posse Lodge!
This show will have a fantastic line-up of fan favorites and newcomers from both Los Alamos and Santa Fe. There is a little something for everyone be it our classic “Old White Guy” humor (John calls himself that!) or what it’s like dating these days while being afraid of kids…I mean parenthood. And, we’re trying out a few sketches to really expand our repertoire. It’s sure to be a good time!
This show is 18+ and the Bathtub Brewery will be onsite providing libations.
The Lineup:
John Gustafson is a retiree who decided to exercise his funny bone before it becomes brittle with age and breaks.
Larissa Breen is a single millennial female attorney with too many animals, which means she’s never at a loss for material. She’s brand new to standup, but looks forward to using observational humor and storytelling to connect with audiences who like their truths with a chaser of humor.
Dave Zimmermann has been doing comedy for about three and a half years. He’s done lots of shows in Santa Fe, including last year’s Cloudtop Comedy Festival. Dave is also the founder of AtomiComedy, Los Alamos’s comedy group, that has put on shows both at Muy Salsas and the Los Alamos Little Theatre.
John Parchman is a first-time stand-up comic with a lifetime’s worth of stories, scars, and sarcasm. At 60, he's a father of three, a cybersecurity specialist at Los Alamos National Lab, and a proud survivor of Catholic school, beta blockers, and 1980s Chicago comedy clubs. His humor is brutally honest, slightly radioactive, and refreshingly self-deprecating. John brings sharp wit and decades of perspective to the mic. Catch him before the NSA does.
Mary Claire Potts is an experienced improviser and a new addition to the New Mexico stand-up scene. She loves wearing dresses to Applebee’s, won’t play disc golf to make boys like her, and believes Jersey Shore is an objectively better cinematic experience than The Godfather.
TJ Jones is a member of Wayward Comedy has been telling jokes since 2019. In 2023 he was nominated one of the best comics in Santa Fe by the SF Reporter. A little on the dark side, TJs jokes deal with with addiction and recovery, getting old and his surprise at still having a love life.
Sarah Matthes uses her voice to explore gender, genitalia, fear of parenthood, and dating as only a woke white woman with one of the most common names of the 20th century could. The highlight of Sarah’s comedy career came when an audience member asked her to come to Tulsa, Oklahoma and do comedy for a sex education course, which is telling both of her comedy and her paltry standards of success.
Sketches will be performed by Seona Zimmermann, Alex DiBranco, and Stacy Buck and are written by Patrick Webb and Emily Stark.
