Bee City Native Plant Sale Fundraiser
Bee City Los Alamos invites the community to its Native Plant Sale Fundraiser on Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Los Alamos Nature Center, located at 2600 Canyon Road. This event is free and open to the public, with native plants available for purchase.
The fundraiser supports Bee City Los Alamos in its mission to promote and protect local pollinators through education, habitat restoration, and community engagement. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of pollinator-friendly native plants ideal for creating thriving gardens that support bees, butterflies, and other essential pollinators.
"Bee City Los Alamos is thrilled to have the support of the community and PEEC," said Bee City Coordinator Britton Donharl. "Our mission is to encourage citizens to help with pollinator conservation by planting local flowering plants. That way, everyone benefits, from pollinators to people!"
Bee City Los Alamos is part of a national initiative recognizing communities that are committed to creating sustainable habitats for pollinators. All proceeds from the plant sale will go directly toward supporting local pollinator projects and educational programming. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, this event is a perfect way to learn about the power of native plants and take action to protect the pollinators that keep our ecosystems buzzing.
