Join us for a wildly popular event that turns Central Avenue and downtown Los Alamos into a ghoulish pedestrian area! Come dressed in your best costume!

Los Alamos Arts Council Presents: 27th Annual Pumpkin Glow

October 25, 2025 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
2132 Central Avenue

Every year, thousands of people gaze in wide wonder at glowing visions of scary creatures, funny faces, cute animals, and fancy flowers. People of all ages and artistic talent are encouraged to participate! Bring us your pumpkin and we’ll display it for the town to see! If you want it back, pick it up by 9 p.m. or it’ll turn back into a… pumpkin (but also compost).

10 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Carving Party at Fuller Lodge. The first 60 pumpkins are free (one per family).
12 p.m. - 4 p.m.: Drop off your pumpkin to be displayed during the glow! 5pm - Dusk: Pumpkin Toddle. We will have our paths set up for the tiniest visitors who may not want to be out after dark.
Dusk - 9 p.m.: Pumpkin Glow and Carving Contest Judging opens.
9 p.m. - 10 p.m.: Pick up your pumpkins or leave them to be taken over for compost.

Registration for the Pumpkin Carving Contest will open on October 1. The cost of registration varies. You can find more information about the event on the Council's website.
