Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has elevated fire restrictions to Stage 2 within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts.
Pajarito Mountain is hosting a NICA biking event at the mountain. Pajarito has a special NICA XC race course at the ski hill! Get ready for some elevation and some climbing. The course weaves across the beginner hill for amazing spectator viewing of the first mile, the total course is 3.1 miles long with close to 500 feet of climbing. The Pajarito Mountain Cafe will be open!
The course will be for active racers only, it will be closed to spectators and the public.
The Pajarito Mountain Cafe will be open during the events.
