The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) invites the community to celebrate Earth Day at its annual Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Los Alamos Nature Center. This free, family‑friendly event brings together entertainment, food, hands-on activities, local makers, and community organizations for a celebration of the planet. Each year, the festival draws hundreds of attendees for a day filled with learning, creativity, and connection. Visitors of all ages can explore booths, enjoy live performances, participate in games and activities, and discover local resources that support a healthier, more sustainable future.

PEEC was founded in 2000 to serve the community of Los Alamos. It offers people of all ages a way to enrich their lives by strengthening their connections to our canyons, mesas, mountains, and skies. PEEC operates the Los Alamos Nature Center at 2600 Canyon Road, holds regular programs and events, and hosts several interest groups, from birding to hiking to butterfly watching. PEEC activities are open to everyone; however, members receive exclusive benefits such as discounts on programs and gift shop merchandise. Annual memberships start at $35.
