Due to ongoing dry conditions and prevailing high winds, Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova of the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) has elevated fire restrictions to Stage 2 within the boundaries of Los Alamos County to safeguard public health and safety, as well as protect lands, structures, natural and historical artifacts.
Volunteers for the Friends of Los Alamos County Libraries operate the oldest used bookstore in town, located just inside the entrance to the Mesa Public Library in Los Alamos. We are a non-profit 501c3, and our earnings support special programs at the libraries as well as scholarships for local high school seniors. Books on our shelves are changed out on a regular schedule, and you'll be thrilled with our prices and amazed by the wide variety of great books we carry! Donations accepted, too.
